In LatAm: what do users want? Are prices too high?

We interviewed over 3,000 Latin Americans about their streaming content consumption habits. The results were shocking! Here’s what we found:

69% of consumers in the region feel that shows and movies about Latin America focus too much on drugs, crime, and stereotypes. With 38% believing their country isn't portrayed accurately, demanding better representation.

Latin Americans have reported dissatisfaction with content as a reason for unsubscribing from streaming services. 13% say they found better alternatives elsewhere, and 12% state that the content was boring, repetitive, or of low quality.

62% of Latin Americans say having more than one streaming subscription has become too expensive. This is not surprising, considering the economic reality of the region. Yet, they still find ways to access these services. How do they do it?

Unsubscribing: 1 in 4 Latin Americans canceled a streaming service last year due to rising costs. Free trial periods: In Chile and Peru, for example, 38% and 35% use free trials and then unsubscribe once they've seen what they want. Sharing Passwords: In LatAm, 46% users share their subscriptions. TV Boxes: 28% use TV boxes to access streaming content without paying.
